The main purpose of our dance program is to teach the joy of dance through the performance experience.
As a new students, you can try any of our dance classes once, free of charge. The dance instructor will
guide you to another class if it is not a good fit with your experience/talent level. Ages are approximate.


Hip Hop Dance
Hip Hop is seen primarily on TV during rap and R & B music videos. It is a form that evolved out of street and break dancing moves,
and is characterized by its vigorous athletics and bouncy style. Hip Hop is danced primarily to Hip Hop, Rap and R & B music,
and knee pads are needed for all levels above basic. Colorado Academy of the Arts features the diversity of several different street
dance styles, so that students can incorporate  many different "looks" into their own movement vocabulary.
