The Academy Experience
As a parent, you want the best for your child. But you need to be confident that the experiences and education you
provide will yield the desired outcome. Results speak for themselves at the Colorado Academy of the Arts. Academy parents
tell us that besides growing artistically, they observe growth in other areas:
*ability to show grace under pressure
*enhanced self-discipline skills
*exposure to positive role models
*increased self-confidence at school
*opportunities to develop new friends
*stage presence in front of a live audience
These qualities are developed through an arts curriculum that offers variety and depth in music, dance and theater.
Our teachers will encourage your young student to express themselves in ways that will enrich their lives today
and in the future.
The Academy believes in staging live performance opportunities as often as possible, providing an outlet for
expression throughout the year. most students perform at least four times a year. Our students perform at the
Fort Collins Lincoln Center, as well as public and private functions. Students have been featured at
Disneyland, Anti-Drug shows in over 300 Colorado schools, public service TV commercials, USO tours
in the Orient and at BBC and World War II celebrations in England. The Academy also has a history
of fostering a cappella groups, such as eLeMeNO-P & Tangent. Many of our students quality for scholarships
in the arts and have gone on to study music, theatre, film and opera.
